Irina graduated from the Central European University (Hungary), with a Master's Degree in International Relations and European Studies, and from the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights and Democratization in Venice, Italy. Her research focuses on human rights, East-West labor migration and immigration restrictions policies, in the context of globalization, Europeanization and rights talk. Other interests include sex trafficking, European integration, international electoral observation missions and Canadian politics.
